Ours is a turbo charged work environment where passion runs high. We are an equal opportunity workplace and summarily apolitical. Here roles are offered with no cap on one’s ability to own responsibilities and demonstrate leadership capability. Candidates should be ready to travel and may be required to stay at project locations for a short duration

ArtforLife

Art for Life (AFL) is our flagship initiative for empowering communities to develop micro economies based on traditional art and craft skills. Refurbishing cultural traditions, providing direct market linkages, and exchange-collaborations are the key steps. We groom and support creative entrepreneurs engaged in preserving and developing intangible cultural heritage like performing arts and crafts. Over 10,000 families have made the transition across poverty line through AFL. At present, AFL is engaging 23,000 people in partnership with the Department of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal, West Bengal Khadi and Village Industries Board and UNESCO. We also have a partnership with UNESCO, New Delhi, to promote AFL initiatives.

Cultural Enterprise

We motivate and mentor artists to become successful entrepreneurs and ensure the long-term survival of the artists and their art forms.

Cultural Inventory

Preparing a database of a region’s indigenous art and craft forms, socio-economic profiling and documentation hold the key to conserving intangible cultural heritage.

Cultural Spaces

For any art to flourish, an appropriate audience is a prerequisite. We develop interface platforms for artists and their audiences, and develop new audiences.

Exchange & Collaboration

Meeting of minds and sharing of knowledge stimulate artists’ creativity, create new bonds of friendship and cultural harmony, and expand artists’ networks and market linkages.

Skill Transmission

We build mechanisms to ensure that traditional art and craft skills are embedded in future generations of artists, which is imperative for their survival.
